I use Emma Lou's bakery regularly for my church's community meals. I get the cakes and they're always a BIG hit. Many have said it's the best cake they've ever eaten. I usually purchase vanilla or chocolate but have also served their red velvet. Of course, I pick up other items too... can't resist and all have been delicious! My husband likes the cake tops. They slice off about 1/4" of a cake's top to make it flat for decorating and sell the 'tops.' Great with morning coffee/tea.
We just used Emma Lou Bakery for our daughters birthday party and we could not have been more happy that we did! The person that took our order was incredibly nice and helpful while explaining all the options in cakes/flavors/icings. We went with 3 dozen cupcakes of various flavors (I loved the orange dream and chocolate on chocolate) and ordered a small cake especially for our daughter. He showed us the little cake pan he would use and so we were expecting this little cake and when we opened the box at home we were blown away, it was like a little mini pink wedding cake or something! The cake and cupcakes were the center piece of the table and everyone absolutely loved them. We will be back for some pies over the holidays and this morning I noticed some breakfast pastries they had out so maybe some of them as well. A+ idea for parties.
