I always get the best haircuts for my mother and son and i can honestly say what a great idea to have clip notes so i never have to remember their style. The best of everything is i always get a guarantee. So if im not digging product or need little more off my sons hair i can go back and get fixed quick and no charge. My son and mother will always be back!
I was honestly a little worried to have mine and my son's hair cut at Great Clips. We've usually gone to a barber but we needed to get haircuts fast. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. My son wanted to try a new hair style, and the woman that cut his hair was so helpful and did such a great job. The wait wasn't long at all, despite the fact that they looked very busy. We both came out with good cuts, and I couldn't have been more impressed with the staff.
Professional staff, good company policies and nifty features. Price is great, and they accept all competitors' coupons. They detail your haircut specs in a database so you can go to any Great Clips in the nation and just say your name to get the same cut. Simple, but brilliant. Only went once thus far - staff was attentive and detailed.
If that was a one time occurrence I wouldn't even mention it, but unfortunately it does come with a bit of a trend. Most of the time I go my haircut will be great, quick, and I'll leave a good tip, but to often I leave wishing I'd gone somewhere else for me to really give a shining recommendation, despite those good experiences where they've really made a positive impact on my day.
I went here based on a recommendation about how easy it was to use the app to schedule a haircut without having to wait in line. My first haircut left more than one area where hair was not trimmed, and it stuck out relative to the hair around it; my hair also had no gradual fading in length where the longer cut hair is supposed to taper to the shorter cut hair on the sides. When I first walked in and I told them that it was my first time at a Great Clips, I was told that the haircut was guaranteed; that if it wasn't cut right the first time, that I could stop in to have it touched up for free, so I did. But the touch up still left hair sticking out again, and without being tapered again, so that it was still a bad haircut! I went back a third time (six weeks later), and used the app (which gave me a 16 minute wait time). The timer on the app said that I had 6 minutes left when I pulled into the parking lot. However, when I walked in, they asked me if I had an online scheduled appointment, verified that I was who I was from the online app, but then told me someone else had come in ahead of me, and that I had to wait for another 15 minute wait time. I politely asked the girls at the counter, "what is the point of using the app to schedule an appointment time if you don't honor it when the customer arrives?" The manager replied, "If you could see how it works from back here you'd understand." I replied, "This will be the last time I will have my haircut at a Great Clips." And I left and went somewhere else.
My experience with Great Clips is as up and down as an hour on a Stairmaster. For example, it was a stylist at this location that have me the hairstyle that I still use today, a serious upgrade to my look. On the other, she took way too long and her notes were incorrect, so it was a pain to get that hairstyle again.
