I couldn't tell you the last time I was in a Waffle House, but this one really impressed me. When we first walked in there was no seating. One of the waitresses Diane saw us waiting and hurried to bus a table so we could sit. She was awesome, very attentive and made she, sure we had everything we needed. When the food came out, my eggs didn't look like they were cooked properly in her opinion and she immediately had them remade for me. I honestly didn't care but it was important to her that my food came out right and I appreciated that. Their menu is really no frills and very basic and minimal. I wish there were other healthier options like fruit but it is what it is. Thanks Diane for the great service!!
Good experience on a to-go order: Yesterday morning around 4am I stopped in at the Oak Ridge, TN Waffle House for a quick breakfast order to-go as it was my day off from work and I had scheduled with Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries to volunteer serving breakfast to the homeless. Here at the Waffle House, I ordered 2-sausage biscuits and a hashround (with mushrooms) and a coffee (the day doesn't officially start before coffee). The young waitress was a model of productivity and pleasant respect as she assisted her coworker with my order and politely made me feel like a welcomed guest. Full of energy and sunshine even though it was still dark outside. The prepared meal was quite delicious as I dug into it heading to the interstate and gave me plenty of energy for the volunteer work yet ahead where I smiled at each guest and with similar sunshine to welcome them to breakfast where I helped fix up their breakfast plate. I look forward to visiting again on next week's day off when I'll again be volunteering at the Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries. Even on a dark chilly morning, the staff at the Waffle House in Oak Ridge was beaming with sunshine and friendly smiles. Menu's are appetizing, but it's the staff that makes a restaurant memorable and worth repeat business.

Waitresses here are awesome. My dad comes most mornings and they take good care of him. Feels like family.
They cooked our breakfast almost exactly the way that we ordered it except my fried eggs were a little bit too runny. But that's okay because it is really hard to get my fried eggs just right. They have a fantastic team of cooks and servers. Overall, it was definitely worth it and better-than-expected. I would definitely go back again. I have attached some pictures of the team working vigorously and the delicious food. Enjoy!
