Jefferson Fountain excellent Breakfast and Lunch. All the food served is great especially the Hamburgers and Breakfast menu. The Lunch special served is always very tasty and service is always excellent. Highly recommend this business to everyone.

I've been going here since first working in Oak Ridge in 2003. This is another one of those wonderful Oak Ridge establishments & is an institution unto itself. The Jefferson Drug Store & Soda Fountain can trace its roots all the way back to WWII. There's a reason a place like this can stick around that long. It's a basic menu, but everything on it is yummy. Personally, my favorite is the roast beef, but it's only available as an ccasional daily special & I haven't been in there when it was on the menu in a really long time. My go-to is the Myrtle Burger & trust me, you can't go wrong.
Good breakfast. Eggs were well prepared, bacon, biscuits, and sausage gravy likewise. The country ham was way to salty for us. We would like to try their banana split for lunch.
I alao want to note that a real highlight of this place is the staff. One of the ladies in there has been waiting on me for the almost 15 years I've been visiting this place.
Like eating at the Mayberry Drugstore knowing Aunt Bea or Andy Taylor could walk thru the front door at any moment. Hand turned milkshakes. Ample servings. Breakfast cooked to order. Great FRESH coffee always available. The home of sincere wait staff. After eating be sure to look through the merchandise displayed in the Drugstore area: cards, Watkins products, souvenirs, decorative items, and, yes, health and beauty items (some related to folk remedies).
