Went here with my mother and we were pleasantly surprised at how well the lunch crowd was managed, how polite the staff was, how quickly the food arrived, and so on.
Although i was sorely disappointed in the food and will stick to Olive Garden or Clinton’s “Gondolier” for seafood and pasta from now on, the place is definitely worth checking out. Just avoid the admiral’s special that that gravy potato!
My husband and I have not eaten at red lobster for years due to the fact that the service was always crappy and the food was never fresh it had MSG in it ...but tonight we had a gift certificate so we thought we'd give it another try. It has improved over the years; really friendly from the time we walked in the door and were greeted by the server.
Great service from Kade! Food was great and right to order. Restaurant was very clean and stocked. We have had a couple not so great trips here in the past but decided to give it a try again and looks like they have turned it around so we will come again.
My mother, who ordered the seaside shrimp trio - said that the flavor was excellent and the fish was well cooked. Mine, on the other hand, (I got the “Admiral’s Special) had undercooked scampi, and the lobster potato tasted like how window cleaner smells.
I guess my only complaint was that it would have been nice to have the manager come over to the table and greet us while she was doing her walkthrough when there wasn't a lot of customers in the place. There was no reason why she couldn't ...and if they could improve on not drowning the salad with salad dressing

I was happy to learn that not all the food had MSG in it anymore which made me feel better because that means it's fresher but my husband and I dinner tonight was most delicious. I had a whole lobster with all the sides and my husband had the fried platter.
